Tow my Planet

Tow my Planet is an asteroids-style arcade shooter about dragging your home planet away from an exploding sun while fending off asteroids - asteroids that both put your ship in danger and slow your planet down. It's a game about balancing towing, collecting powerups and staying safe from danger.

Tow my Planet is a simple game I made in 2020 using Gamemaker Studio. Enjoy!

How to play:

Use W to accelerate your ship, while using A and D to turn. Press Space to fire.

You are tethered to your planet and can't leave its radius: accelerate towards the right hand of your screen to tow your planet and gain score.

Shoot oncoming asteroids to break them up before they collide with you or your planet (Damaging your ship or slowing your planet down)

Collect 3 types of powerup: The repair kit, warp drive and death ray.

Survive from your sun for as long as possible by collecting gears to level up and stay one step ahead.
